Chetak Gold Ultra Protect Exterior Emulsion is a good quality emulsion which gives smooth matt finish. The Chetak formulation gives bright look to the wall. It is suitable for walls, ceilings and building boards. It is made available in exhaustive shade range.

Direction for Use

  • Prime the surface with a coat of Exterior Sealer A700 or Exterior Sealer A500 and allow drying for 6-8 hours.
  • Rectify and smoothen the surface with Exterior Wall Putty A500 and allow drying for 4-6 hours. A second coat of putty may be applied if necessary and allow to dry further 4-6 hours. Sand the surface with Emery Paper 180. Wipe off loose particles. Apply another coat of primer on the puttied surface and allow drying for 6-8 hours.
  • Sand the surface with Emery Paper 320 and wipe clean. Primer Putty Primer is a must to get desired effect of the topcoat.
  • Dilution: For Brilliant White and Light Shades dilute with 40-60% (400-600ml of water) in 1 liter paint, for shades dilute 25-40% (250-400ml of water) in 1 liter paint.
  • Finishing (Stir Thoroughly before use): Normally two coats of paint is sufficient for opacity and desired finish. However extra coat may be required in case of change in colour.
  • Drying Time (Single coat at standard thickness): Touch Dry upto 30 mins and Recoat in 4-6 hours.
  • Drying time may vary according to temperature and humidity. For instance, drying time will be significantly longer in cool and damp conditions.

Surface Preparation

  • New concrete/plaster surface should be allowed to mature properly.
  • Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, free from all loose particles, dust, dirt, grease, wax etc. before applications.
  • All surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and wiped off thereafter.
  • Suitable remedial measures should be taken in case of water seepage/leakage problems. Fungus affected areas need separate treatment.
  • For previously painted surfaces strip all the paint before starting the above process.

Safety, Health & Environment Information

  • Treatment such as sanding, burning off etc of paint films may generate hazardous dust and other fumes. Wet sanding/flaming should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment
  • Wear eye and hand protection
  • Do not breathe vapour / spray
  • Remove as much paint as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning
  • Avoid release to the environment
  • Collect spillage
  • Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed
  • Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight
  • Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice
  • In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners
  • Do not empty into drains or water course

Note:

  • Do not stack more than 1+3
  • Lead content in dried paint film does not exceed 90 parts per million
